ZoneMinder has just had a major update, including MPEG video streaming, MJPEG capture, bulk frame recording as well as a whole stack of bugfixes.  ZoneMinder is a linux-based CCTV recording as well as streaming bundle with movement detection. It works with any type of V4L (Video 4 Linux) compliant driver.
