A new version of Atlas, created to operate outdoors as well as inside buildings. It is specialized for mobile manipulation. It is electrically powered as well as hydraulically actuated. It uses sensors in its body as well as legs to balance as well as LIDAR as well as stereo sensors in its head to prevent obstacles, examine the terrain, assist with navigation as well as manipulate objects. This version of Atlas is about 5′ 9″ tall (about a head shorter than the DRC Atlas) as well as weighs 180 lbs.
