In 2011 the Italian fashion label Miu Miu started Women’s Tales, a series of short films about women directed by female directors from around the world.

Their a lot of recent short was directed by Ava DuVernay.  Ava won the very best director award at the 2012 Sundance film Festival.

The Door, by Ava DuVernay, the fifth Miu Miu Women’s Tale, is a event of the transformative power of feminine bonds, as well as a symbolic story of life change.
